The Montreal Bistro maintains its' high-interest programming featuring excellent guitarist David Occhipinti Monday when he officially releases his second CD, Syzygy on the Unity label. |
|
A trio recording with bass Jim Vivian and Kevin Dempsey drumming, it showcases 10 of David's compositions in solo and trio formats. It's a stylish, appealing follow-up to his self-titled debut CD of two years ago. The fretman, who acknowledges his debt to master Jim Hall, also contributes a delectable impressionist three-movement work for solo instrument entitled "Triptych". He's outstanding on "Ultimo Tango", "Manhattan" and "Id". |
